Animal Care Assistants

This program allows interns the opportunity to work with our non-releasable education animals, while also assisting with their daily care.

These interns are required to work approximately 10-15 hours each month in order to have the chance to be trained in handling the animals. Time will be spent feeding, assisting with cage and aquarium maintenance, light cleaning in the exhibit hall, and cleaning the outdoor enclosures. In exchange, participants will have the chance to learn how to handle many of our education animals, as well as how to deliver live animal programs to the public and school groups.

*Please note, this internship is unpaid.

Anyone interested should complete this application, to be submitted to Lauren Bird at (please include resume).
