(Recommended for Ages 8 and up) Join naturalist Stephen Lyn Bales as we take a “flock”on the wild side! Ijams Nature Center has a 100-year history of offering birding programs to the public, and new we’re taking our show on the road! Bird-Abouts will take participants on birding adventures throughout East Tennessee! For this program, we’ll take a road trip to Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge to see sandhill cranes wintering at the Meigs County location. Golden and bald eagles, wintering ducks and whooping cranes are also possible. Meet at Ijams Visitor Center, then we’ll caravan to the location. The fee for this program is $8. EVERYONE MUST HAVE A TICKET.
