BIRD-ABOUTS: Little Brown Jobs at Forks of the River

May 11 @ 8:30 am - 10:30 am

$10.00

RECOMMENDED FOR AGES 10 AND UP

Ijams Bird-Abouts are monthly field trips that highlight special birding locations in and around the Knoxville area, and the birds that call them home. This month we are staying pretty close to home by visiting the Forks of the River Wildlife Management Area.

We will be focusing on all those little brown birds that aren’t warblers, birds of prey, or waterfowl. These often overlooked birds can be dificult to identify, but not when you know their secrets! Come have some fun practicing how to identify these “little brown jobs” by sight and sound. These programs are for birders of all experience levels and binoculars are provided if you don’t have your own.

LOCATION

This program meets at the Ijams Visitor Center, and then walks to Forks of the River from there.

REGISTRATION

The fee for this program is $10 per person. EVERYONE MUST HAVE A TICKET. Registration ends on Thursday, May 9 at 5:00 p.m. REGISTER HERE.

If you have any questions please contact Jeremy Clothier at jclothier@ijams.org or call (865) 577-4717 ext. 127.

REFUND POLICY
