FAMILY PROGRAM

Join us in a citizen science program to catch and identify as many butterfly species as possible. Participants will learn the proper way to use a butterfly net and be set free to wander the Mead’s Quarry area of Ijam’s Nature Center in search of butterflies. We will use field guides to identify everything we find and keep a list to submit it to NABA (North American Butterfly Association). If we are lucky enough to catch migrating monarchs on their way to Mexico, we will also tag and release them for the Monarch Watch program.

The fee for this program is $8, and members can add the promotional TAG for an additional $2 off. Register on Eventbrite.com. This program meets at the Ijams Quarry Parking Lot.
