BIRD-ABOUTS: Seven Islands State Birding Park

June 8 @ 8:30 am - 10:30 pm

$10.00

RECOMMENDED FOR AGES 10 AND UP

Ijams Bird-Abouts are monthly field trips that highlight special birding locations in and around the Knoxville area, and the birds that call them home. This month we are venturing to Seven Islands to explore how habitat types effect bird populations.

We will hike all over the birding park through fields, forests, and wetlands looking for birds! At each habitat we will learn a bit about the birds that use them, and how people all over the world are working to preserve and manage them. Come have some fun as we explore through all manner of bird habitats. These programs are for birders of all experience levels and binoculars are provided if you don’t have your own.

This program meets at the gravel parking lot at Seven Islands State Birding Park.
