TAKE ACTION! Planting the Seeds: A Talk, Movie, Seed Swap and Potluck

March 31 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Hosted by Ijams and Slow Food Tennessee Valley, this potluck and seed swap celebrates clean, organic eating and friendly farming practices, and features a talk from John Coykendall, renowned seed saver, classically trained artist and master gardener at Blackberry Farm, who has been preserving seeds, traditions, oral  histories and foodways of a small rural farming community in Louisiana. Coykendall hopes to inspire others to view these rare seeds and stories as grounding us to the earth and rooting us both to our past and our future.
