For operating hours of Navitat Knoxville’s Ijams Canopy Experience, check out the Navitat website.

Admission: Free. However, Ijams gladly accepts and is grateful for cash donations, especially in U.S. currency. Seriously though, Ijams is a nonprofit organization, supported in part by the City of Knoxville, grants, program fees and the generosity of its members and visitors. If you enjoy your visit please support this nonprofit nature center.

Ijams is Dog Friendly!  By all means bring your favorite pooch. There is even a Pet Welcome Station near the Visitor Center, including leash holders and a doggy water fountain. For everyone’s enjoyment, we just ask that all pets keep their owners leashed at all times. Due to state and federal regulations that allow Ijams to care for exhibit hall creatures, pets are not allowed in the Visitor Center.

Please Pick Up After Your Pooch! Please ensure everyone has a pleasant experience by picking up after your pooch does its business. Poop bag stations can be found near the Visitor Center and pet waste bags are for sale in the gift shop. Thank you for helping to keep the nature center grounds clean!

Restrooms: Restrooms are available in the Ijams Visitor Center during normal operating hours and at the Ijams Homesite and Mead’s Quarry from 8 am until park closure.

Beer Garden Hours: The Ijams beer garden located at Mead’s Quarry is closed for the 2017 season. It will reopen in Spring 2018!
