Ijams Recycles  Recycling makes a big difference in the waste stream going into our local landfill. Recycling saves energy and resources, reduces pollution and creates jobs. All of which, have a positive impact on the local economy. 

Ijams Recycles is a signature education initiative providing recycling guidelines to the general public, schools, businesses, community organizations, and the media throughout Knox County and East Tennessee.


What and Where Can I Recycle?
Recycle at home, work, or play at a recycling center near you. Most recycling centers accept plastic, cans, glass, and mixed paper, while some also accept other specialized waste materials such as batteries, motor oil or bulky items.
