Annual Yard Sale is Saturday, June 9.

Sunday May 20, 2007
Donations needed. Free pick up. Call Todd 577-4717, ext. 30.

One of Ijams’ missions is to teach the importance of recycling, thus reducing the amount of solid waste that is rapidly filling up our local landfill sites. Our annual Yard Sale not only raises money for our educational programs but allows us to recycle perfectly usable items that might otherwise be thrown away. Are your closets loaded? Do you have a garage full of stuff and don’t know what to do with it? Call us and we’ll come get it. Your trash is another’s treasure. Old toys, tomes, tools, toasters, tom-toms, lamps, exercise equipment, bikes, furniture, canoes, Laverne & Shirley koozies, Connie Francis LPs, any old whatnot, thingamabob or knickknack that you no longer need, let Ijams find it a new home. (Please no old computers.)

The Yard Sale fundraiser is very hard work for our staff, but it’s also one of the most rewarding events we organize all year. Call it serendipity. One of the fun things is that we never know what we are going to get but once we finish cleaning, organizing and pricing, we are always pleasantly surprised. But to make it a success, we need your donations. If it’s too big to bring, we can pick it up.

Afterwards, if you love yard sales and are looking for a used bike, Laverne & Shirley koozie, whatnot or thingamabob, make sure you come and shop.

The Ijams Yard Sale is sponsored by Junk Bee Gone and Allstate Trailers, Inc.

If it’s too big to bring, we can pick it up. For more info call the yard sale master, Todd Witcher at 577-4717, ext. 30.
