Ijams' members being surveyed

Saturday June 21, 2008
Input needed for lang-range plans

Please accept this invitation to participate in Ijams Nature Center Member Survey. Your individual, heartfelt, and honest responses are key ingredients in the study I am conducting. The purpose of this study is to assist in determining the role of Ijams in our local community.

I am interested in:

  • your perceptions, attitudes and beliefs about the value of Ijams.
  • your beliefs and opinions about the perceived benefits of being a member of Ijams.
  • what you perceive to be the role of Ijams in this community.

Your participation involves completion of an online survey which should take less than ten minutes to complete. The survey may be accessed by clicking on a link that is posted on the Ijams' website at www.ijams.org. Upon request, a paper and pencil version of the survey will be available. If your preference is to complete the paper and pencil version, please contact me at (865) 428-9373 or csprice5@utk.edu.

Your decision to participate is voluntary. The online survey tool provides internal coding to protect your privacy and control for duplicate entries. The paper and pencil survey is designed to maintain your anonymity.

I will be very pleased to respond to any and all questions and/or concerns about the survey. I may be contacted at 865-428-9373 or cprice5@utk.edu.

To capture members' own words about their experiences at Ijams, a random sample of members may be contacted this summer for a brief telephone interview. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.

I thank you for your contribution to this very important aspect of my research on behalf of Ijams Nature Center and sincerely wish you an enjoyable summer season at Ijams.

 - Best regards, Carol Price
