Last Chance to Register for School Holiday Camp!

This year, give your kids something fun to do on their Winter break!

Today is the last day that you can register your kids to come to Ijams for the School Holiday Camp that's going on while they are out of school for the holidays. During Winter break, camps are offerend December 19 through the 22.
School Holiday Camps are scheduled on Knox County in-service days and student holidays. These special programs are designed to enhance what students learn in the classroom even when they have the off from school! Students explore the trails of Ijams, perform experiments, meet live animals, make crafts, play games and more! Camp topics for Winter break are listed below:
December 19: Shh, Animals are Sleeping
Begin winter vacation looking for signs of animal life, building a hibernation den, making wildlife feeders, meeting animals and playing games.
December 20: Winter Wizards
Become a winter wizard by melting ice, making ice cream snowflakes, meeting animals and learning how to have fun when you can see your breath outside!
December 21: Tracks in the Snow
Even without snow we will look for tracks and make some tracks around Ijams in homemade snowshoes. Then we will track an owl’s winter appetite by dissecting owl pellets and meeting an owl.
December 22: Winter is Wonderful
Celebrate winter fun, inside and out! Make candles, decorate a tree for wildlife, create a winter wonderland meet animals, play games and drink lots of hot chocolate.
