Time for School Holiday Camp at Ijams

Monday October 02, 2006
Ijams offers School Holiday Camps on many of the days on which Knox County Schools are closed for holidays or in-service. Read here to learn more about it.

What are you doing for Fall Break? Knox county students will be enjoying an entire week out of school this fall. October 16-20 is Fall Break! However, the excitement of sleeping in, watching cartoons and torturing a younger sibling can get a little redundant for an entire week.
Ijams has the solution: School Holiday Camp. During Fall and Spring breaks this year, your student can spend time in the woods, meadows and wetlands of Ijams exploring, playing games, meeting wild animals, making crafts and new friends. Each day of the Fall Break camp has a theme to excite campers about the awesome autumn season. Leaf Peepers, Weather Watchers, Rotting Away, 3rd Rock From the Sun and Creepy Crawlers are themes that will get campers conducting experiments, sifting through soil, collecting bugs, making rockets and more.
You can register your child for one day of camp or all five days of camp. Members and families with multiple children receive discounts.  Space is limited, so don’t delay. Call Misty, at extension 12, to register your child for fall fun.
Make sure to see our online events calendar to stay up to date on when School Holiday Camps are being offered.
