Putting the Sun to Work

solar lanternThanks to a generous grant from the Alcoa Foundation, Ijams Nature Center has been able to put the power of the sun to work. We have recently purchased a series of products from the Goal Zero company. Solar power lanterns, flashlights, and even cell phone chargers are allowing us to provide educational programs in even the remotest areas of the park.

Solar power is becoming increasingly accessible, and at Ijams we hope to lead the way into a more sustainable future. To learn more about Goal Zero and their products, click here.
