Meetings, Wedding Ceremonies & Retreats

Ever wish you could have your work meeting in Mother Nature's backyard? Here at Ijams you can do just that. Support from our rentals will help us maintainour wildlife sanctuary and provide environmental education programs for more than 50,000 children and adults annually.

We do wedding ceremonies, naturally!

You can say your wedding vows under a vine covered arbor at our home site garden or under the breezy shade of our large pavilion.

 Grooms Love Ijams

Wedding Facilities  - Wedding ceremonies are conducted at the Ijams Home site location, which is the only section of the property specifically designated for wedding day events. We are sorry but we cannot accomodate a reception - ceremonies only! The Ijams Nature Center Home Site is available for Wedding Ceremony rentals on Saturdays from 9am to 7pm. Rentals include an optional rehearsal time and one of the two following wedding packages:

  • Outdoor Package $350 for 4 hrs. (Additional hourly fee: $125/hr.)
    An outdoor ceremony includes the use of the lawn, covered pavilion and outdoor restrooms at the Home site, but does not include the use of the Miller Education building. It is a four-hour rental.
  • Homesite Package $600 for 4 hrs. (Additional hourly fee: $125/hr.)
    The Homesite Package includes the use of the Miller Education Building in addition to its lawn and covered pavilion. The Miller Building contains a large main room, a full kitchen and restrooms. This is a four-hour rental.

 Miller Building Our Miller Education building offers the perfect location for an office retreat or board meeting. The Miller building has its own parking area, and is surrounded by the original Ijams Family gardens.

Our Visitor Center room features a cozy hearth and sweeping views of Tennessee natural habitat. We have wireless internet, podium, large presentation screen and wireless speaker system available.  Ijams Room

Meeting & Retreat Facilities - You can rent any of the following four areas in which to hold your corporate, organizational or group meeting at Ijams. Meeting or retreat rentals are available weekdays only between 8AM and 6PM.

Large Event Rental - Our spaces are available for larger events such as a corporate family day or picnic. Let us arrange a fun filled day for your guests including Animal Encounters and Nature Hikes! Large Event Rentals are available Monday through Saturday only.
