About the Event
Join Steve McGaffin from Zoo Knoxville and Audrey Parker from Knox County School to learn about becoming a scientist in your community! Throughout the evening, you'll learn about various community science opportunities on both local and personal levels, and walk away with the tools to start amazing projects of your own. The evening will focus on iNaturalist, NestWatch, eBird, and more local/global opportunities.
Ages: This program is designed for ages 12+
Accessibility: Participants can expect to be seated indoors for the duration of the program.
Parking: Parking for this Ijams Education Course is free for all participants. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the course begins to obtain a free parking pass upon check-in. Refund Policy: No walk-ins will be accepted. Every participant must have a ticket. Ijams awards full refunds for any cancellations up to 7 days before a program, or if Ijams cancels a program due to inclement weather. Refunds are not awarded for programs with fees of $5 or less for any reason. Tickets are non-transferable.
