Join Naturalist Nick to get the inside scoop on something he’s been working on: researching songbirds and the fruits they use in the fall to fuel their migration southward. You'll get some insight into the wonders of bird migration, discover what makes fall migration unique, and learn all about frugivory (a fancy word for "fruit eating") and the intricacies of seed-dispersal in a family of birds called thrushes as part of the Ijams Hummingbird Festival's Bird Nerd Speaker Series!

Ages: This program is designed for ages 14+

Accessibility: Participants can expect to travel a distance of up to 100ft. from the parking lot to the program destination over flat asphalt and floors. 4 accessible parking spaces are available.  Accessible restroom stalls are located at Ijams Nature Center's main building. This building does not currently have ADA push-buttons for opening doors.

Please check your junk mail folder the day before this program if you have not received an email containing program details. No walk-ins will be accepted. Every participant must have a ticket. Ijams awards full refunds for any cancellations up to 7 days before a program, or if Ijams cancels a program due to inclement weather. Refunds are not awarded for programs with fees of $5 or less for any reason. Tickets are non-transferable.
