About the Event
On April 28 from 1-3:30 pm, come out and learn all about creating your own homemade soaps in this fun hands-on workshop with Kristin Webber, owner of Chicken Librarian.
Students will learn all about how to make soap using a crockpot and will get hands-on experience making a batch of soap. Safety procedures, how to read a recipe, the differences between hot and cold process soap, materials needed and where to purchase will all be covered in class.
This is an in-depth, hands-on look at making soap using lye, carrier oils, and other ingredients. Students should wear closed-toe shoes, long sleeves, and bring eye protection if they have it. Students should also expect to be standing for the duration of the class. Each student will leave with one batch of homemade soap.
No experience required.
Please bring a mold for the soap, such as an empty and cleaned pringles can or a small plastic container.
Class cost: $75 per person
