Ijams Field Day: Botany For Beginners

**This program is 18+**

Join an Ijams naturalist for this immersive, 3.5-hour workshop to successfully learn the patterns of plant identification! From learning the evolutionary history of plants & their anatomy, to recognizing and identifying common patterns among various plant families, you'll come away with a deeper and applicable understanding of the diverse world of botany.

Participants are asked to bring the following:

1. Notebook

2. Pen or pencil

3. Water & snacks 

4. Wear weather-appropriate clothing & comfortable hiking shoes

Ages: This program is designed for ages 18+

Accessibility: Participants can expect to travel a distance of up to 3 miles during the duration of the program over uneven surfaces that may include rocks, roots, and gravel. This program includes various stopping points.

Parking: Parking for this Ijams Education Course is free for all participants. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the course begins to obtain a free parking pass upon check-in. Refund Policy: No walk-ins will be accepted. Every participant must have a ticket. Ijams only awards full refunds for any cancellations up to 7 days before a program, or if Ijams cancels a program due to inclement weather. Refunds are not awarded for programs with fees of $5 or less for any reason. Tickets are non-transferable.
