About the Event
NOTE: This program is for Ijams Members only. If you do not have a membership, please consider joining at ijams.org/mebership to attend this and futurre events geared towards our member community! Memberships are different from parking passes.
Over the years, pop culture has given bats a bad rap. It's time to throw out our preconceived notions of what bats are, and dig into the reality of their importance (and cuteness!) in East Tennessee. Join an Ijams Naturalist for this Ijams Member Event to dig deep into bat anatomy, their ecological importance, and wild adaptations that make them one of the coolest mammals around.
Ages: This program is designed for ages 10+
Accessibility: Participants can expect to travel a distance of up to 1 mile during the duration of the program over uneven surfaces that may include rocks, roots, and gravel. This program includes various stopping points.
Parking: Parking for this Ijams Education Course is free for all participants. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the course begins to obtain a free parking pass upon check-in. If you have been issued a yearly membership or parking pass, you're all set! To learn more about Ijams membership opportunities, visit: ijams.org/membership
