Ijams Native Landscape Certification - Level 1 Workshop

* NOTE: This workshop is only open to participants who have already registered and been confirmed for the Ijams Weed Warriors Native Landscape Certification program. 

Start your Ijams Weed Warriors Native Landscape Certification journey! This required, 1.5 hour workshop will cover what you need to know about invasive species for Level 1 of this program. We'll take a deep-dive into four key invasives, Chinese privet, English ivy, bush honeysuckle, and wintercreeper, from their origins and histories to removal techniques, as well as other instances of invasive species and their devastating impact on our local ecosystems. 

Parking: Parking for this Ijams Education Course is free for all participants. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the course begins to obtain a free parking pass upon check-in. Accessability: Participants should expect to be seated for half of the program for a presentation, followed by a leisurely walk that will be up to 1 mile long.

Once you've taken our workshop, join the Natural Resources Team for a required invasive removal workday. Register for the workday here. (Registration for the workday will open 21 days prior to date of the workday.) Refund Policy: No walk-ins will be accepted. Every participant must have a ticket. Ijams only awards full refunds for any cancellations up to 7 days before a program, or if Ijams cancels a program due to inclement weather. Refunds are not awarded for programs with fees of $5 or less for any reason. Tickets are non-transferable.
