CANCELLED: Intro to Navigation

***Due to inclement weather, this course is being cancelled for the 07/20/24 session. A significant portion of this course is meant to be outdoors.

Learn how to navigate your way on the trail before things head south! Join an Ijams naturalist to learn the ins and outs of on-trail navaigation. You'll learn how to read a topographic map, use a compass to take a bearing, and find your location on trail.

Ages: This program is designed for ages 16+

Accessibility: Participants can expect to travel a distance of up to 2 miles during the duration of the program over uneven surfaces that may include rocks, roots, and gravel. This program includes various stopping points. The entirety of the program will be held outside - please dress for the weather.

Parking: Parking for this Ijams Education Course is free for all participants. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the course begins to obtain a free parking pass upon check-in. Refund Policy: No walk-ins will be accepted. Every participant must have a ticket. Ijams only awards full refunds for any cancellations up to 7 days before a program, or if Ijams cancels a program due to inclement weather. Refunds are not awarded for programs with fees of $5 or less for any reason. Tickets are non-transferable.
