About the Event
Join H.A.L.T ( Humans and Animals Learning Together) at Ijams Nature Center on April 12 from 1-3 pm outside of the visitor center. Come out to meet their new furry friends that will be participating in class this session. They are looking for their fur-ever homes!

All dogs are medically screened, fully vaccinated, microchipped, on heartworm preventative, and will have beginner basic obedience training at the end of their 4-week course. Through the four-week course, instructors help teen trainers teach basic obedience to the dogs. The trainers are adolescents from residential centers and may be there for treatment of substance or physical abuse, behavioral or alienation problems. Dogs are adopted into suitable homes at the end of the class session. We are accepting applications and will work on home visits while classes are going on. All dogs will be able to…
