Join local clothing brand fern+daisy for a Conservation Conversation pop-up on the Visitor Center plaza!

fern+daisy is a responsibly made in the USA apparel brand that gives back to marginalized women in Central Appalachia by donating a portion of our profits to rehab facilities. Their focus is to create simple and timeless apparel that is mindful of our environment; they do so in through their materials, which are all either recycled, organic, or dead-stock. And 90% of their garments are biodegradable. They manufacture in the USA and their fabric is made in North American mills, thus reducing the impact of air or boat travel for materials or labor. They'll be coming out to the Ijams Visitor Center plaza to educate on issues surrounding their goal, which is to create a brand and company that supports other makers to manufacture in the USA with sustainable materials in Appalachia. This not only to brings hope to rural Appalachian economies, but also supports eco-friendly practices in manufacturing.
