About the Event
As gardening season is kicking off, join Kristin Webber of The Chicken Librarian for a active and engaging workshop to figure out all the things you can do with your harvest once it gets here. Students in Preserving the Harvest: Canning 101 on March 10 will learn all about water bath canning and will get hands-on experience canning a seasonal recipe. Safe canning procedures, canning equipment, and materials needed and where to purchase will all be covered.
This is an in-depth, hands-on look at water bath canning. Students should wear closed-toe shoes, long sleeve shirts, and expect to be standing for the duration of the class. No experience required.
Tickets are $75 per person and all supplies are included in this 2.5 hour workshop.
