Ijams Brings Nature Education to You!
Applications for fall outreach programs open Aug. 4!
Can’t make it to Ijams Nature Center for a field trip? Ijams can come to you! Ijams’ naturalists and environmental educators can bring nature to your classroom or outdoor space.
Engaging curricula bring the natural world alive for students, and all programs complement many Tennessee State Education Standards. All outreach programs also include a visit with an Ijams animal ambassador.

SCHEDULING AN OUTREACH PROGRAM*
Ijams schedules outreach programs by Google form request on a first-come, first-served basis.

* A group must have a minimum of 10 students to register for an outreach program.
OUTREACH AND FIELD TRIP SCHOLARSHIPS
Ijams has funding available for scholarships and transportation for schools that qualify. There also are other ways for educators to request funding for field trips, transportation, and outreach programs. The following document offers suggestions and includes a sample letter.
